La Scala dei Turchi is a rock type scogliera which rises above the sea along the coast of Realmonte near Porto Empedocle (AG). It has become a tourist attraction both for the singularity of the cliff with white stone and particular forms and due to the popularity gained by the novels starring Inspector Montalbano written by Andrea Camilleri, where these places are mentioned.

The Valley of the Temples is an archaeological site dating back to the Hellenistic period , which is located in Agrigento. It corresponds to the monumental city of Akragas , characterized by the exceptional state of preservation of important Doric temples. Since 1997, the entire archaeological zone has been included in the list of World Heritage sites by UNESCO. It is considered a popular tourist destination , as well as the highest source of tourism for the city of Agrigento and one of the principal in all of Sicily . The park of the Valley of the Temples is the largest archaeological park in the world ( ca. 1300 ha ) and is visited by an average of 650 thousand people per year.

The WWF oasis of Torre Salsa extends between Siculiana Marina and Eraclea Minoa in a pristine area with sandy beaches and clear blue sea. The nature reserve "Torre Salsa" is a protected natural area on the southwest coast of Sicily, established in 2000 by the Sicilian Region and managed by WWF Italy. The Torre Salsa area extends along the coast for about 6 kilometers. The beaches are occasionally frequented by loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta), which lays its eggs there. In the reserve there are also the Sicilian pond turtle (Emys trinacria) and the green lizard (Lacerta bilineata).

The Integral Natural Reserve Macalube of Aragon is a regional nature reserve of Sicily, located 4 km SW of Aragona and 15 miles north of Agrigento. It includes a vast territory clay characterized by the presence of eruptive phenomena. The name Macalube (or according to some versions Maccalube) derives from Maqlùb which literally means " tipping. The natural area has always exercised a great fascination on the local population and on foreign travelers. The earliest descriptions of the area is indebted to Plato , Aristotle, Diodorus of Sicily and Plinio. In Roman times, the mud gushing out of the ground was used for treatment of rheumatic and beauty.

A few miles from Bellavista Apartments along the SS 115 in Contrada Kaos you can visit the birthplace of Luigi Pirandello, the famous playwright Nobel Prize for Literature in 1934. Inside the old house there is a photo gallery that depicts Pirandello in various also familiar contexts; there are also manuscripts, objects and furnishings of the period. Very impressive finally and not to be missed is a visit to the memorial near the villa where he was buried on his own express wish.
